Parenting in itself is hard. Parenting from a wheelchair - well, that is even harder. Parenting today is just as rewarding sitting in a wheelchair, as it was nearly six years ago on two legs. My family and I have adapted to this ever changing lifestyle.
We still take trips to the places we went before.
We just use a little pre-trip prep time to get ready and anticipate possible challenges or needs. I have found that though parenting is different now, it is still very much the same. My kids have been so resilient.
They are always willing to give mom a helping hand. They help with cooking, sports, shopping or just giving a hand with an item I may have dropped. My husband is a huge part of my support system.
Although parenting may never be easy, it has gotten easier. It happens to be my greatest joy by far!
