Maria is the queen of finding solutions and enjoying a good laugh at herself.
This is how Maria rolls up at work in the mornings. Ready to roll and tackle her day. One shoe on, one shoe off. A dilemma a paraplegic faces when a shoe falls off after a transfer. I'm wondering how many people took a second look at her driving this morning.
The day can be full of challenges (only a paraplegic could understand). Maria explains, “When your leg strap is broken, you improvise....with hello kitty duct tape!“
So, how does Maria do it all? Lots of humor and holding on to simple, yet powerful ideas like, “Start by doing what's necessary; then do what's possible; and suddenly you are doing the impossible!”
Maria, you challenge us all to keep pushing forward.
