What are the pros and cons of the types of incontinence products you have used?
Early on in my rehab and just getting adjusted to my new life in a wheelchair and my disability and my spinal cord injury, I was wearing an external catheter pretty much 24/7 to help with that so I wouldn't have accidents on myself and what not. I tried multiple different ones. I was a little reluctant to self cath myself early just because I felt like it was a procedure I didn’t really want to go through. And I was unsure about it with my disability with my hands – how much function I could do and how easy it would be and what not. So we went the route of wearing an external catheter, as well as a leg bag. I used that for probably the first five years into my injury.
