What advice do you have for someone who is newly injured and about to leave home for the first time?
When you finally do get home, there are many challenges, of course. But, again, it’s about being comfortable with yourself – figuring out who you are and finding yourself again. But I would say – just give everything a try. If you enjoyed going to the movies before – go back to the movies and enjoy that again. If you enjoyed going to the beach – figure out a way and go to the beach. Do the things you still enjoy. You’re still the same person. You’re just physically a little bit changed, and so – you want to do the things you enjoy. I would never discourage that and I would always encourage that with people.
